Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an alternative model of health care delivery. DPC allows for longer visits, smaller patient panels, increased access and quality health care at lower costs by eliminating third party payers. By not taking insurance, there is no need for a billing department, cost per visit or milestones in each visit in order for a physician to be payed. By utilizing a membership subscription, a DPC clinic is able to have a much smaller panel of patients (less than 600 vs 3,000). This means more open slots, more time to discuss your concerns and more personalized care.

Your time is your most valuable resource. Unfortunately in the traditional insurance model, we all have experienced waiting several weeks for an appointment, doctors running behind due to schedule constrictions and short visits due to clinic requirements. The Direct Primary Care Model allows for fixed monthly primary care costs, with all the benefits of primary care and keeping your time as your most valuable resource. Nope, thankfully no! Consider it similar services without the big price tag (and one can only assume valet parking). Concierge practices charge a monthly fee, AND bill your insurance for services provided. Direct Primary Care eliminates third party billing, meaning your insurance will not be billed for services rendered allowing for fixed monthly costs. We can still use your insurance if you would like for labs, imaging and referral or you can take advantage of discounted cash pay prices for labs!

It is always recommended to have some form of coverage for emergencies (similar to car insurance). We can still use your insurance for referrals/speciality care, imaging, labs and medications if needed. We cannot predict emergencies, but with quality primary care we can hopefully reduce the chance of a hospitalization or handle urgent issues in the office to avoid going to the ER. Direct Primary Care membership is not considered an insurance plan, and will not cover outside expenses.

Once you are a member, we are able to see you same or next business day for urgent needs. We schedule new members as a first come first serve basis to allow for time to establish care and balance our current members’ needs.
