Medical Evaluation
Traditional training of physicians does not include extensive training on medical management of eating disorders. Allow me to help and become part of your team. Medical evaluations are for diagnosis (if needed), evaluation of complications and medical stability and evaluation for appropriate level of care.

Coordinated Care
We know that coordinated care is better care no matter where you are in your journey to recovered. Dr. McEnery can work along side your current treatment team, including your current primary care provider. She does offer primary care services as well if needed.

Increased Access
Recovery is often not linear nor predictable. Membership includes a direct number to call or text if additional needs arise.

Extended Visits
Eating disorders affect more than just one aspect of your health and time in traditional 15 minute visits do not allow for comprehensive evaluation. Extended visits are there if you need them to help meet your needs.

Initial Evaluation & Enrollment Fee
Initial evaluation is required for medical management of eating disorder membership, it includes two extended visits to get to know you, evaluate for medical stability and complications. It also allows for ordering/interpretation of labs and imaging (if needed), review your records and discussion of next steps for treatment.

Monthly Membership
If you chose to continue your care, monthly membership begins after the second visit it includes your appointments, direct number to Dr. McEnery, coordination of care, ordering and interpretation of labs/imaging, monitoring of complications and medical stability after the initial evaluation.

10-15 minute meet and greet over phone or video to discuss your needs and expectations. It will allow for questions you may have about the practice, and ensure Together Waco Direct Care is a good fit. No medical advice will be given during this meeting.
FAQs
I have insurance, why would I pay for a membership?
Would you use your car insurance for an oil change? Health insurance and medical care become a similar analogy. Unfortunately with the current insurance based system, in order for physicians to be reimbursed for services, there is certain boxes to be checked, more patients to be seen, more staff to accommodate billing, etc. This translates to greater number of patients to see, shorter visit time, fewer open visits for established patients and less quality time with your physician. In the direct care model, we eliminate the third party billing allowing for all the benefits of medical care without the hurdles.
When can I get started? Can I be seen tomorrow?
First step is to schedule a meet and greet phone or zoom visit, so that all your questions can be answered about the practice model and ensure we are a good fit for your medical care. We then schedule new patients in first come first serve basis, this ensure not only each new patient has appointment scheduled appropriately, and also to ensure we are able to continue to take care of our current members needs and appointments.
Why is eating disorder medical management a separate membership?
Medical management of eating disorders is a separate membership for several reasons. First, we want you to have access to this type of care, no matter who your primary care physician is. Second, it allows for all the benefits of a direct primary care model: increased access, longer appointment times, frequent visits if needed, coordinated care between treatment team members, discounted labs etc.
What if I want to cancel the monthly membership?
There is no fee to cancel, we do ask for a 30 day notice of cancelation. This will allow for appropriate transition to your next steps. There is an additional $150 re-enrollement fee if you chose to return to our practice for medical management of eating disorders in the future. New patients are scheduled in a first come first serve basis regardless of prior membership status.
